Look at that god-awful match picture, look at how Mother 3 was never released in the USA, then look at this match and tell me how any of this makes a damn of sense. Sure DMC3 won with ease, but this was a match where people were picking it to win with 70, 80, even 90%. The fact DMC3 started off at 65% and stayed there for a solid 12 hours shows it's weak. Mother 3 was never going to win this match and Devil May Cry 3 was never going to lose it, but these percentages are nowhere close to where people expected them.

I'm not sure what the Oracle consensus here was, but only 13 people out of 128 picked DMC3 to finish under 70%. That should give you an idea of how weird this all was. DMC3 would go on to its expected loss against Prime, but this match made it one of the contest's turkeys.
