People worried about this match going in because they were desperate to see something interesting in our string of 12 straight boring round 1 matches, but it wasn't warranted. Especially not after Devil May Cry 3 crapped the bed against Mother 3. Yes Devil May Cry would end up stronger than 3, but last year proved KOTOR was no joke.

Now with that said, KOTOR started off at 63% and fell all the way down below 58% before the match finally ended. That's a significant bleed, which called into serious question the KOTOR \> FF9 upset. And this is all after DMC3 thoroughly embarrassed itself earlier this round. Barring FF9 completely collapsing, KOTOR wasn't getting past round 3.
