DAT TOP OPTION strikes again!

This was the first match in awhile that was a legitimate tossup or good match, marred only by the fact the two games involved were Persona 3 and Civilization 4. Very very very few people on GameFAQs care about either one of these games. You'd assume otherwise from hanging out on Board 8 a lot given 100% of the people who love the Persona series post here, but the reality is these are two series the site doesn't care about.

So with a match that's pure fodder vs pure fodder such as this, DAT TOP OPTION is all that really mattered. Switch the seedings here and I guarantee you Civ 4 wins. But as-is, Persona 3 kind of won with ease. For a 52-48 match, it was never really close past the first couple minutes. The PC had a pretty good contest, but RPGs and DAT TOP OPTION reigned supreme here.

Though to be fair, Civ 4 being the favorite made sense. The Civ series is weak, but it's at least done something in a contest before. Persona had never done anything notable before this match, so people went with the known entity over DAT TOP OPTION. This will not be a mistake Board 8 repeats in the first round ever again.

In a way I'm glad Civ is beyond weak. We still need that Civ 3 vs FFT duel so I can make MWIS honor his loser-leaves account bet with me.
