If you have any lingering doubts about how much Mass Effect 2 affected the original, look at those prediction percentages. That's 1 seed respect for a 2, which doesn't happen often. To put that in perspective, Majora's Mask (our contest winner) couldn't break a 90% prediction percentage against Wii Sports of all things.

Now with that said, Mass Effect didn't go out and perform like it deserved 1 seed respect. ME2 boosted it, yes, but failing to break 70% on something like Plants vs. Zombies is embarrassing. Portal was the clear favorite for the division's bottom half after its own round 1 match, and only Mass Effect would stand a chance due to its status as a wild card. But then it crapped the bed here and that was that.
