Welcome to the one of the two good matches Final Fantasy X had all contest. It's not just scoring a blowout on Borderlands; it was actually winning the board vote and staying mostly consistent all match. This is a far cry from how the Final Fantasy series -- especially 7 -- has been tanking board votes left and right.

People figured this was FFX waking up and that Viewtiful Joe was possibly more legit than previously thought, but I think it's more no one caring about Boredlands. Just look at what happened to FFX in every other match for proof. So it was a good win, but it wasn't the norm for FFX. Which is a shame, because the FF series used to be on par with Nintendo. Now, it's the clear second tier.
