## Ulti's Analysis

Oh hey, a match that was actually a match for an hour. I picked 2006 in this match, but I was rooting hard for 2011. At this point, it's basically a guarantee I get any match involving Kingdom Hearts wrong, so 2011 winning this was no surprise. I figured Twilight Princess and KH2 would be enough, because I didn't really think year depth would matter.

Then the match started, and even though the match was close it looked like 2006 was going to run away with things. It jumped up by 50 ten minutes in, and this contest offered no suggestion that matches would actually be good. So when 2011 turned things around and kept things at a stalemate for a little while, I was very pleasantly surprised. It started pulling away at 1:30 am, but I didn't call things over until the morning vote. Kingdom Hearts has come back way too many times in these things to ever count it out, but 2011 safely won the morning vote and ran away with things. Thank god. Maybe one day I'll actually get a stupid debatable KH match correct!

Objectively speaking, 2011 is by far the better gaming year. Dark Souls and Skyrim by themselves cement that, as both are in the ten best video games ever made. Then you add in Portal 2 and Radiant Historia and it's not even close. Some would even add in the Mortal Kombat remake, Skyward Sword, Pokemon Black/White, and Marvel vs Capcom 3 as well, even though those games are all complete shit. But still, we have freaking Dark Souls, Skyrim, and Portal 2. That's a hell of a lot better than mediocre Twilight Princess and the dumb trash you have to do in Kingdom Hearts 2.

Speaking of, go look at 2006. Twilight Princess is decent, but it's mostly trash until you hit the Arbiter Grounds. Kingdom Hearts 2 is decent, but has SO MUCH lame garbage in it. Final Fantasy 12 is decent, but the plot is total disjointed crap. Then you have the Wii and Playstation 3 coming out that year; the Wii was and still is one of the dumbest scams people have ever fallen for, and the PS3 had one of the worst console launches in recent memory. The year was also very weak outside of the so-called "heavy hitters", too. I haven't played Okami, so I can't comment there, and games like Portrait of Ruin, Guitar Hero 2, and Wii Sports aren't carrying 2006.

The objectively better year won, which is nice to see.
