## Ulti's Analysis

Remember how I said the over-under for 2003 was 27.15% due to the round two results? WHOOPS. We already knew there was literally no possible way 1998 was losing this contest without an insane rally, but this really cemented it home.

I actually looked this up since I should do some research for this PCa at some point, and only one other match in the final eight ever finished above 80-20 like this. It was Zelda \> Metroid in the series contest: <https://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/2449-hyrule-division-final-the-legend-of-zelda-vs-metroid>

1998 came really close to breaking that record, but not quite. 84.7% stands as the record this late in a contest, which is an insane number when you really think about it. It means something has to be strong enough to get into the final eight, and then turn around and get SFFd into the ground by something Zelda. When you think about it, that's basically what this match was. 2003 got here, then got annihilated by what was basically Ocarina of Time.

I was mad about Wind Waker's year getting this far, but then it got the second lowest score of any contest entrant this late and it was somewhat worth it to see Wind Waker get this embarrassed. Good riddance and sit the hell down, you piece of trash. Men are talking.
