I struggled a lot with this pick, because I felt in my heart of hearts Vivi could win this match. I ended up picking Ganon because of Breath of the Wild, Smash Brothers, and the current Nintendo \> Square dynamics on this site. Swap any of those three factors, and I think Vivi could have convinced 600 people to change their minds here. Vivi is immune to the Squaresoft erosion due to his character design, and will be about this strong no matter how far Square falls. People just like the black mage archetype too much. This was actually a real match for an hour, too. Vivi took the early lead, Ganon took it quickly, but then outside of two Warlock Punches these two guys were about even. But once Ganon got that lead over 100, this was done. It was a slow, steady, effective climb for the entire match. Hold this thing before Breath of the Wild or before Smash Ultimate's hype, and Vivi probably wins. But with all of that in Ganon's favor, it was just enough for him to win this despite looking weird all contest long. Ganon's reward for winning? "Uh oh." ## Safer777's Analysis So of course after Ganon beat Dante easily we knew he would win. Vivi did beat Donkey Kong yeah but he did as expected. But man. He broke 48% on Ganondorf! Now this we didn't expected. We were expecting around 55% to tell the truth. Maybe 54%. But no. Vivi did really good. So what this says? It says that Vivi is damn strong! And that is good. But man. I don't know what place is Vivi on FF hierarchy but it has to be a really high one. Gotta be his design. What else could it be? Also I don't understand that he has boosted. From where? And don't say that Ganon got weaker. Don't believe that. Still not much else to say. Ganondorf won and as per tradition he did much better in USA of course. Still Vivi impressed a lot. Now the reward for Ganondorf is to score like 15% on Link and make everything in the division look extremely weak. Fun! ## Tsunami's Analysis Vivi narrowly managed to take the unregistered vote, but registered voters easily carried Ganondorf to a win. This was especially satisfying as Ganondorf was the third-place finisher in Vivi's legendary upset of Mario in 2013, definitively declaring that RallyFAQs was truly dead.
